    Team,

The one on the left is WAA12F1, double A wad suitable for light 1oz loads, but can someone tell me what the other two Winchester wads are.....I've been given some in a plastic bag with no markings!

They will be for field loads but might not be winnie ones, 1 1/4 oz or more Im guessing. The cushion is shorter to allow for the larger charge and shot column. You could get an idea by weighing how much shot fills them level to the top of the cup.

They look like ounce and an eighth (green) and ounce and a 1/4 (pink) to me.

I have some out in the shed that I can check for you tonight to be sure.

    Cheers

I think the 2 on the right are not Winchester as all the win ones I have seen or used have the same petals as the pink one.cant find my Winchester booklet but 1 and 1/8 ounce win are white. have some 1ounce and 1 and 1/8 and some 1 and 7/8 ounce wads if you are interested.also have empty hulls a real mixture if anyone reloading still.

Thanks for the help, I will go measure the cups and see what shot weight they hold, just was going to see if they are suited to straight walled hulls or the tapered AA hulls, I managed to find a box of wads, at sunday markets, I'd found four good mil 5.56 ammo cans and we negotiated 9 dollars each, saw these and said make it an even 40 so now I need to go shoot off some of my AA loads!! Gosh those pics brought back a few memories of reloading shotgun shells when a box of Super-X was $25 in the late 1980's.

Those wads I think are CAC or Stanley, for compression-formed tapered cases. Green 32 gram 1-1/8oz. Pink 36 gram 1-1/4oz.

Legend! Thank you that would make a lot of sense knowing where these wads came from
